On April 3, 2017, the Redstone Team volunteered for the Lunch Is Served, Inc. program for a second time, continuing to “make it better.”

Lunch Is Served, Inc. provides sack lunches to the working poor. The sack lunches are delivered to the Banquet (both the downtown and west Sioux Falls locations), the St. Francis House, and Labor Ready for those organizations to distribute to the working poor. Lunch Is Served, Inc. was started by a group of concerned Sioux Falls citizens and started serving brown bag lunches in September 2006. The sack lunches are packed twice a week and provide a nutritious lunch to the working poor. The Redstone volunteer group included Redstone Team members and family members as young as 5 (along with an adorable infant who just observed).

All of the participants enjoyed their time at the event. “What a great opportunity to help a worthy cause and serve the working poor in our community,” said Jon Hansen, a Redstone Team member who participated in this event for a second time.
