Redstone Law Firm LLP is pleased to announce that Meghann Joyce joined the firm as a partner on January 15, 2020. Meghann will continue to represent clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, handling employment, construction, trusts and estates, and other business disputes.

Meghann has practiced law in Sioux Falls for eight years. In that time, she has handled a wide variety of commercial litigation matters touching many industries, including construction, manufacturing, transportation and agriculture. Her employment law experience allows her to proactively help clients protect their businesses by updating employee handbooks, offering employee training, or providing guidance on difficult employment situations. She also has experience conducting internal investigations, responding to charges of discrimination, and defending lawsuits in the employment law realm. She has litigated cases involving federal employment statutes and regulations, such as Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA, wrongful termination claims, and labor disputes. She also has experience litigating trust and estates disputes, including claims of undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, breach of fiduciary duty, objections to accounting, and removal of trustees. She is currently the President of the South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association. Before beginning private practice, Meghann clerked for the Honorable Glen A. Severson on the South Dakota Supreme Court.

Meghann is a native of Rock Rapids, Iowa. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Dakota, graduating with honors from both programs. Meghann's husband, Mark, is also an attorney. They have two children, Henry and Abby, and call Sioux Falls home.
